MAKE A DONATION Boston Buddies, Inc. is funded by your generous donations, our modest fundraisers, and in many instances from our members' own personal funds. Many of our rescue dogs require extensive medical care and surgeries. Should you wish to help us with our efforts we appreciate donations in any amount. All donations are tax deductible — we are a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit charitable corporation — and will help one more sick and homeless Boston find his/her way into a wonderful forever home. OUTFIT A BUDDY FOR $25 Each of our rescue dogs is sent off to their new home with a new collar, leash, harness, seat belt safety leash, chew toy and plush toy. The average cost to us of providing this Foster Pack is $25

VACCINATE A BUDDY FOR $40 For those dogs that come into rescue that are not up to date on vaccinations, the cost to us for a complete set of vaccinations (rabies, DA2PP and Bordetella) averages $40 Vaccinate a Buddy
MICROCHIP A BUDDY FOR $50 All of our rescue dogs are micro chipped and the chip registered prior to placement. The average cost to us for chipping and registering a dog is $50

TEST A SENIOR BUDDY FOR $100 Boston Buddies runs a Senior Blood and Urine Screen on every Buddy over the age of seven. The Senior Panel includes a Complete Blood Count (CBC), Chemistry Panel, Thyroid Test and Urinalysis. The CBC tests for infection, cancer, or shut down of the bone marrow. A Chemistry Panel is a test of total organ function including kidneys, liver, pancreas, and more. The thyroid test is used to screen for an underactive thyroid gland. The urinalysis lets us know how well the dog’s kidneys are functioning and whether the dog is suffering from a urinary tract infection. The average cost to Boston Buddies for running these tests is $100 Test a Senior Buddy
SPAY/NEUTER A BUDDY FOR $175 Even with receiving a great discount from our rescue friendly vets, the average cost to us to spay/neuter a rescue dog (including pre-anesthesia blood work, use of sevo gas, placement of an IV catheter, anesthesia induction and monitoring, antibiotics, pain medication and an e-collar) is $175 Spay/Neuter a Buddy
BECOME A FOSTER PARENT Boston Buddies does not have a brick and mortar kennel facility. Instead, all of our dogs are housed in private foster homes located throughout Southern California. Without the tremendous generosity and loving care provided by our foster homes we could not continue to assist the number of dogs we have been able to during our existence. Foster homes provide our rescue dogs with a safe, comfortable haven where we can assess their personalities and particular needs and get them the medical care they may need prior to placing them into a permanent, adoptive home. Please consider volunteering to be a foster home for one of our rescue dogs.
